  1. Short: Amiga users angry at CBM

  5.     This is a small collection of files from people who are angry with
  6. Commodore for numerous reasons. Included is an update to the first version
  7. which includes a letter I intend to mail to CBM this week. 
  8.  
  9.     CBM has shown a loss of market share over the years in key markets
  10. such as the United States. Numerous game companies, such as MAXIS,
  11. MicroProse, and Electronic Arts have pulled out of the Amiga market due
  12. to a lack of game sales in the US. Well, this needs to be changed, and
  13. I am starting a grassroots effort that will hopefully influence the 
  14. market by doing the following:

  16.     - convince CBM to get its act together in the US, and of course
  17.     in other countries where support is sparse
  18.  
  19.     - convince software developers to come back to the Amiga
  20.  
  21.     - convince magazines to increase coverage of the Amiga and
  22.     stop ignoring it

  26.     If you are interested in contributing to this effort, please send
  27. me email at dtiberio@libserv1.ic.sunysb.edu. What I need is a list of
  28. software developers that have pulled out of the market, a list of magazines
  29. that have ignored the Amiga (plus specifac articles and issues), and
  30. last of all any comments regarding CBM's lack of support. I hear stories
  31. that it is hard to purchase some of the high end Amiga 3000's and 4000's
  32. in Europe, let alone get a 2.04 or 2.1 upgrade set.
